Modus Operandi
- The fraudster resorts to either free distribution of physical media like USB, Pendrive, CD etc., or leaves them at conspicuous places like library etc.,
- The fraudster may lure the users into using these physical by labeling them with reputed company names or may call it a promotion drive etc.,
- Once the user makes use of these media drives, their device is infected with malware.
- Fraudster now has opportunity to commit frauds like data breach, Identity theft, hacking etc.,
